Dear Herdsmans Cove Primary School Community,
As we reach the end of Term 1, it's with great joy that we reflect on the wonderful learning journey we've embarked upon together. It has been a term filled with growth, achievement, and community spirit. We are thrilled to witness the remarkable progress of both our students and staff in embracing the UFLI phonics program, which has undoubtedly enriched our learning environment.
Celebrating Learning and Growth:
Throughout this term, we've witnessed incredible growth in our classrooms. Students have eagerly embraced new concepts and skills, demonstrating their commitment to learning and personal development. We are immensely proud of their achievements and commend them for their dedication.
Reward Excursion to Giblins Reserve Park:
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of treating our hardworking students to a rewarding excursion at Giblins Reserve Park. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to unwind, connect with nature, and celebrate their accomplishments. We extend our gratitude to all the students who consistently embody our school values.
Embracing Our School Values:
At Herdsmans Cove Primary School, we uphold three core values that define our community. We will be using these prompts for each value when working with students.
Connection: Get along, we all belong.
Respect: Be kind, speak kindly.
Courage: We can do hard things.
Thank You to Our Parents:
We extend our sincere gratitude to the parents who have volunteered to join our school association. Your support and dedication are invaluable, and we eagerly anticipate collaborating with you to enhance our school and community. We will be in touch early next term to organize our first meeting and discuss the exciting initiatives ahead.
Looking Ahead:
As we embark on the upcoming holiday break, we encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and rejuvenate. Please stay safe, cherish precious moments with your loved ones, and return refreshed for the start of Term 2. We eagerly await the opportunity to continue our journey together, building a brighter future for our school and community.
Thank you for your ongoing support, commitment, and enthusiasm. Together, we can achieve remarkable things.
Warm regards,
Tobin McColl - Principal
Easter Carnival - Thursday 4 April
On Thursday 4 April our early years classes had a fun morning of special events organised by Miss P as part of this year's Easter Carnival. Students brought along a teddy and enjoyed some fun activities and a free barbecue, with many parents in attendance to support their young ones.
On Tuesday 26 March our athletics team represented Herdsmans Cove Primary School in the Division F Interschool Athletics Carnival.
Our team performed to the best of their ability and finished in 5th place. Well done everyone!
Thank you to Mrs McKenzie and her group of helpers for making sandwiches to pop in the freezer for students that are needing extra to eat at lunch time or for those that may have forgotten their lunch.
