Community News - Defibrillator Installed at School
We are happy to announce that our community now has access to an AED (automated external defibrillator) device, which will be accessible weekdays during school office hours.
Our school applied for a grant earlier in the year and the device has now been installed in the main office.
- A defibrillator is a machine that can save someone's life.
- You can use it when someone has a sudden cardiac arrest.
- Cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly stops pumping.
- The defibrillator uses electricity to re-start the heart.
- The sooner you use a defibrillator, the person has a better chance to recover.
