Dear Families,
I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all our families and a special welcome to all new students and their families.
We had a fabulous start to 2022, despite navigating our way around COVID 19 health and safety protocols. We thank our school community for supporting us and adhering to these requirements. Please don’t forget to Stop Drop and Go and not to enter the classrooms.
We are exceptionally proud of the way our students settled into school and their classrooms. Before school commenced teachers worked tirelessly to ensure that classroom learning environments were ready to go and looking fantastic. Our amazing Teacher Assistants and EFA’s were also busy before school started to make sure the school and classrooms looked fantastic and welcoming to all. Thank you to all staff for the efforts that you have put in to making our start to the year smooth and engaging.
It gives me great pleasure to announce our wonderful team for 2022.

Oral Health - Fissure Sealant and Fluoride Varnish Program
Registration forms from Oral Health Services Tasmania will be sent home to students in Kindergarten, Prep, Grade 1, 2 and Grade 6.
The program will be held at our school during term 2. All completed forms should be returned to the office no later than Thursday 7 April.
Here is some information about the program.
By having good hand hygiene people can keep themselves healthy and prevent the spread of illness and disease. This helps to keep other people healthy too.
HANDWASHING is #1 in the hygiene stakes. Keeping our hands clean with good hand washing is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs (bacteria and viruses) to others.
Some illnesses and diseases that can be spread by poor hand hygiene are colds and flu, gastro (to name a few).
We need to wash our hands:
- after going to the toilet
- after coughing, sneezing and blowing your nose
- after patting and playing with animals
- before eating, preparing or touching food
- after touching food such as raw chicken, meat and fish
It takes soap and water to wash our hands properly (or hand sanitiser if soap and water is not available) and we need to wash our hands for at least 15 – 20 seconds (sing the Alphabet song) to get rid of the germs adequately.
