Principal's Message
Dear Families
I am writing to inform you that I am retiring at the end of Term 2, this year. It has not been an easy decision to make but after nearly 45 years of commitment and dedication to teaching and working within the DECYP, it is now time to spend some quality time with my family.
I have been extremely honoured and privileged to work with such a wonderful, generous school community. A community whom I have made many connections with and have had the pleasure to see many generations come through our school. It has been a humbling experience and I have been so incredibly lucky to have worked for such a long period of time in the same community. A community that I have loved and has been my second home for over 25 years. I have worked hard to provide stability for our community in times of change and uncertainty. I am genuinely proud of our achievements, school, children, and families. I have learned from you every day and my experiences from working alongside you have shaped me into the person I have become. I will be for ever grateful.
A big thank you to all the families and staff, past and present who have supported and continue to support the school and myself. It has been an absolute honour and I am going to miss coming here on a daily basis. My car only knows one direction in which to travel and is on auto pilot so it will have to learn to travel a new path.
The DEYCP are currently advertising for a new Principal and parents will be notified once this position has been filled closer to Term 3.
