Dear Families,

Last week we hosted our first Pancake Friday morning.  There was a great sense of community which was fantastic to see. Some of our parents volunteered their time which was greatly appreciated, and students stepped up to help and showcase their leadership skills. What could be better than our families, staff and students working together and of course the experience of starting your day with a delicious pancake!  I would like to extend a big thank you to Mr Dand, Mr Bennett, Ms Field, Ellena, Elle, Summer, Kaidyn and Tanya .

Yesterday Miss Lovell’s 5/6 class attended a cultural event which was organised by the Kutalayna Collective and Material Institute (24 Carrot Garden). We thank our community partners for their support providing such a fantastic experience for our students. We were immensely proud of 5/6 L as their behaviour at the event was exemplary.

Speaking of community, next week we will be hosting our Primary Athletics Carnival (Grades 3 – 6) between 10:30 and 12:30.  Parents are invited to attend. There will be a seating area specifically for parents and we kindly ask parents to support us by encouraging students to remain in their seating area so that the carnival runs smoothly.   At the carnival student leadership will again be showcased as our wonderful House Captains will assist with the event.  Yesterday students presented their speeches to their peers to vote in House Captains.  House Captains will be announced tomorrow.
