Principal's Message
Term 4 is renowned for being very busy and this year is no different. We have had classes attending wonderful excursions to compliment their classroom learning and other events on our calendar include the Inter School Swimming Carnival, Grade 6 Transition programs and Orientation Day, and of course our End of Year Celebration Assembly. Although there are many events on the calendar, we will remain focused on providing exemplary teaching and learning programs. Next week we will be involved in an External School Review with a Review Team. All Tasmanian Government Schools are externally reviewed every four years. The purpose of External School Reviews is to support schools to raise achievement, sustain high performance and provide quality assurance to build public confidence in government schools. We look forward to displaying our shining stars and all the amazing work our school community does. Go Team Herdy!
This is a timely reminder for our Grade 6 students as planning for their end of year celebrations are well underway. However, it is important that students remain focused on their learning and continue to participate fully, with cooperation in all school programs and not think that they can just choose to participate in the final celebratory activities and rewards. The expectation is that students behave appropriately, demonstrate school values, act respectfully by following instructions and school rules including wearing of our school uniform. Keep working hard Grade 6. We know you can do it!
Finally, we wish our swimmers representing the school in the upcoming Division G carnival all the best for Tuesday next week.
