Dear Families

Over the weekend the Prime Minister announced a National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth 11 to be held next Thursday 22 July.  We pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen and recognise her commitment to her country the Commonwealth and the 14 other countries where she was also head of State. We thank her for providing us with extraordinary examples of selflessness, service, dignity and courage.  Rest in Peace your Majesty!

Next week teachers will be conducting Learning Conversations and will contact you via the 'phone to discuss your child’s progress, application to learning and wellbeing.

Next term our school will undergo the School Review Process our last School Review was in 2017. The Department of Education regularly reviews all Tasmanian Government Schools. The Reviews are an important part of how the department supports each school. These Reviews are about providing schools with quality and independent feedback to help them continue to improve the learning outcomes for all students. Our Review will be held next term in Week 5 (November 14 and 15). The reviewers will be in our school to look closely at our school performance data and will speak with staff, students, parents and the community. Reviews are structured around a small number of lines of inquiry which have been agreed upon by the Review Chair, the Principal and relevant Learning Services and School Improvement Team staff. The Review team will provide the school with a report summarising their findings and recommended improvement strategies to maximise student outcomes. This information will be shared with the wider school community at the conclusion of the School Review. Attached is an article explaining the review and a return to school notice if you do NOT wish your child to be interviewed by External School Review panel.
