On Thursday afternoon we had a special celebration to honour the passing of our much loved work colleage, Debra Bellette.  Deb absolutely loved books and working in the library, creating displays, covering books and truly embracing the Herdsmans Cove Book Parade every year.  It was an honour to share with Deb's family the renaming of our Library to the Debra Bellette Memorial Library.  A plaque and photo have been permanently placed on the library wall.  A memorial book prize in honour of Deb will also be awarded to a student at the end of each year, to someone that always borrows and returns their books on time, and shows respect and kindness in our library.
