Principal's Message

Dear Families,

I am truly grateful for your understanding of the current situation and for supporting us to adhere to the Public Health directions to help keep our community safe and well.

Term 4 is renowned for be being very busy and this year is no different. Last Wednesday a group of students participated in a Farm to Plate  session at Government House.  Other events on our calendar include the Grade 3- 6 Swimming Carnival – which is being held today, the Inter School Swimming Carnival, Grade 6 Transition programs and Orientation Day, and of course our End of Year Celebration Assemblies. Although there are many events on the calendar, we will remain focused on providing exemplary teaching and learning programs.

This is a timely reminder for our Grade 6 students as planning for their end of year celebrations are well underway. However, it is important that students remain focused on their learning and continue to participate fully, with cooperation in all school programs and not think that they can just choose to participate in the final celebratory activities and rewards. The expectation is that students behave appropriately, demonstrate school values, act respectfully by following instructions and school rules including wearing of our school uniform. A formal invitation will be given to those students who have earned the right to attend through demonstrating a positive attitude and appropriate behaviour.  Keep trying hard Grade 6.  We know you can do it!

We have already commenced looking at class placements for next year.

I am pleased to be able to share with you our proposed draft class structures for 2022. Of course, it is very early and the model presented below is subject to change depending on enrolment trends between now and the commencement of 2022. At this stage staffing has not been confirmed for next year.

Kinder (1 class), Prep/1 (1 class), 1/2 (1 class), 2/3 (1 class), 3/4 (1 class) , 4/5 (1 class) and 5/6 (1 class).

Following the Show Day public holiday on Thursday, Friday 22nd October will be a Student Free Day whilst staff participate in Professional Learning.
