In 3/4M we have been busy working on narrative writing and creating some really cool stories. We have worked together to investigate what is needed to make a really great piece of writing, and ways that we might be able to make some improvements. The students came up with some things to remember when writing to make sure their story captures the reader's attention.

"We need to make sure we have a strong character role."- Heidi.

"It needs to have a hook! We need to make sure our reader never wants to put our story down."- Jett.

"Don't forget to include as much description as you can as we need the reader to be able to imagine that they are in our story."- Summer.

 "Remember your theme! The reader needs to know what kind of story they are getting themselves into." -Isabella.

We then went on to look at how we edit our writing and fixing it up to make sure it is perfect. Keep an eye out for when we finish our great stories - we can't wait to bring them home for everyone to read.
