Principal Message

Dear Families and Friends,

As Term 2 draws to a close, it’s a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the incredible efforts and achievements of our students and staff. It has truly been an action-packed term, filled with learning, growth, and connection.

From the excitement of Cross Country to the valuable conversations during Parent-Teacher Meetings, our school community has been actively engaged in both academic and personal development. Our students in years 3-6 have finished the term with 2 weeks of Swimming and Water Safety, building confidence and essential life skills in and around the water.

A special moment this term was seeing our Year 6 students receive their leavers’ tops—a proud milestone that marks their leadership and journey through primary school. It’s been heartwarming to see them wear their tops with pride around the school. As our senior students, we encourage our Year 6s to continue working hard, showing kindness, and setting a strong example for the younger students. Leadership is not just about wearing a top—it’s about the choices we make every day.

Looking ahead to Term 3, we’re gearing up for another busy and enriching term. Book Week promises to be a highlight, celebrating the joy of reading and imagination. We’re also excited to launch a new initiative focused on building connections within our community. Each class will have the opportunity to cook pizzas and invite a special person from home to share in the experience—what a beautiful way to strengthen our school-family bonds! We also want to acknowledge the importance of positive engagement with families. When schools and families work together, students thrive. Whether it’s attending events, chatting with teachers, or simply checking in on Seesaw, your involvement makes a real difference. We’re committed to strengthening these connections and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all.

Please keep an eye out for information about Seesaw. We’d love to see all families connected to this platform, as it offers a fantastic way to communicate and celebrate student learning in real time.

As we head into the holiday break, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff and amazing students for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the term. I wish everyone a safe, restful, and well-deserved holiday, and we look forward to seeing everyone recharged and ready for Term 3.

Warm regards

Nathan Mills, Assistant Principal
